Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how KiraStream ("we", "the service operator") and the KiraTV client app handle the personal data of users ("you") who access the service through the app (Android, Android TV, Samsung, LG or web) or our customer portal.

1. Data controller

The data controller for your personal data is the KiraStream service operator with whom you hold your subscription or account. For any privacy question, contact us at support@kirastream.cloud.

2. What data we collect

We only collect the data necessary to provide the service and support you:

  • Account data: username and password (always stored encrypted/hashed, never in plain text).
  • Optional contact data: display name, email and phone number, if you or your service provider add them to your account (for example, so we can notify you about your support requests).
  • Device identifier: a technical identifier (UUID) generated by the app itself to pair your TV with the mobile remote control or with your account. It is not an advertising identifier and is not used to track you outside the app.
  • Support messages and attachments: the content of any support tickets you submit from "Settings > Support", including screenshots or other files you voluntarily choose to attach.
  • Account technical data: sign-up date, service expiry date, and the number of simultaneous connections allowed, needed to provide the contracted service.

We do not collect your geolocation, do not install advertising identifiers, do not access your contacts, photos or device files except those you explicitly attach to a support ticket, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

3. How we use your data

  • To authenticate you and give you access to your contracted service.
  • To manage your account (connection limits, expiry, paired devices).
  • To respond to your support requests and notify you of their status by email, if you have provided one.
  • To detect and prevent misuse or abuse of the service.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Data is only shared with third parties when strictly necessary to provide the service (for example, sending notification emails through our email provider) or when required by a competent authority under applicable law.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account remains active. After your account is closed, we retain only the data strictly necessary for a reasonable period required by legal or accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

6. Your rights

If you reside in the European Union or any jurisdiction recognizing similar rights, you may request access, rectification, deletion, portability, or object to the processing of your personal data at any time by writing to support@kirastream.cloud. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time.

7. Security

Passwords are always stored encrypted (hashed), never in plain text, and communication between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

8. Children

The service is not directed at minors without the supervision of an adult responsible for their account. The app itself includes PIN-based parental controls to restrict content.

9. Third-party content and responsibility

KiraTV is a client application and technical management platform: it lets you access and organize channels, movies and series from content sources and providers configured by the service operator with whom you hold your account. Neither KiraTV nor its developer hosts, produces, selects or controls the audiovisual content made accessible through those sources, and neither offers nor facilitates access to illegal or unauthorized content. Responsibility for the legality, ownership and licensing of the configured content sources lies exclusively with the service operator that contracts and manages them, in accordance with the intellectual property laws applicable in their jurisdiction.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in the service or applicable regulations. Any relevant change will be published on this same page, indicating the date of the last update.
